Susan Hutchison of Temecula, California, captured the fourth week’s grand prix aboard her outstanding eight year old stallion, Cantano. Owner by El Dorado 29, this soaring bay has performed incredibly over the last year, racking up win after win in the Grand Prix arena.

Erin Duffy scored second on Elizabeth Oliver’s Lionel and third on her own mount, Kir Royal. Bearing the yellow ribbon was Michelle Parker on Cross Creek Farms Inc.’s Socrates, followed by Keri Potter on her veteran Rockford I. Fifth place went to Leslie Steele and AW Butterfly Hula, while sixth went to Daniel Silverstone on Rebecca Lewis’s gorgeous chestnut Cindarco. Eighth place was also nabbed by Hutchison, who rode Ellen Spalding’s Play Boy to round out the field.
All in all, it was another lovely day of classy show jumping on the rolling field at the Oaks. After a brief break, showing will move south to Showpark in Del Mar for a few weeks, then migrate back up to the Oaks for the Blenheim Summer Classic in August.
