Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of speaking with the great people behind the Stable Scoop Radio Show, a program which features news about the equine world, a variety of equestrian blogs, and interesting snippets about horse sports and events.

To be honest, I was a bit nervous about the interview, but I was immediately put at ease by Glenn the Geek and Helena B, the show’s hosts. The questions started rolling, and before long I was in the middle of a great conversation. This week’s show focuses on drug testing (with emphasis on all that Olympic turmoil), the eternal fight that fox hunting in Ireland has become, and a look at the Maker’s Mark Secretariat Center.

This show is right up my alley–it focuses on what is important in the equine industry, but manages to balance all that seriousness with an equal amount of fun and interesting chats. Below are the six main points that each show covers:

  • Horse News: Our spin on the equine news of the week.
  • Stable Spotlight: Every week we highlight a stable from around the country and chat with the owners.
  • Big Time Interviews: We will be interviewing the big names from time to time but mostly we will focus on the average horse person.
  • 2010 Games Update: Glenn the Geek lives in Lexington, KY and will keep you up to date on the latest with the 2010 World Equestrian Games.
  • Vet Checkup: Just checking in to see what’s new and upcoming in horse health.
  • Equine Blog Report: We let you know the latest in the horsey blogging world.
  • Chatting: Mostly just chatting with you about what is important to you.

What’s not to like? Because the show does not focus on one breed or discipline, everyone is sure to find something that interests them each week, whether they’re into jumpers or reining. If you’re like me and don’t have a lot of free time to catch up on everything going on in the horse world, this show is imperative! It is so easy to simply download the podcast and listen away, and the show is incredibly upbeat and entertaining. I really believe that this show will grow and become a valued and trusted asset in the equine industry.

I was and still am honored to have been featured, and want to sincerely thank all those behind the Stable Scoop Radio Show for this great opportunity! You can listen to Equestrianism’s segment and visit the Stable Scoop website below:
